Hair

January 27th, 2012

I find it a bit of a nightmare to get Amelia’s hair looking in a decent enough state so that all the Mums at school don’t point at her and laugh. I was particularly proud of this mornings effort.

Steam Train Extravaganza

January 27th, 2012

We went on the East Lancashire Railway steam day extravaganza. They had a points failure which meant we were sitting on a train that didn’t move for 20 minutes. All in all I found it to be a pretty accurate reproduction of how trains operate today.

Nana Pat’s 61st Birthday

November 20th, 2011

We all drove over to Wales to have a look at Nana Pat’s new caravan and to celebrate her 61st birthday. Grandad Paddy was paying for lunch which made the whole thing even more pleasurable. Oliver took a shine to Hannah’s chocolate cake and when she couldn’t finish it, he did.

We all went along to Ashton-in-Makerfield where a couple of Christmas fetes were taking place. We really didn’t expect something to rival Manchester’s Xmas Market but they could have at least picked up the dead bird from the bottom of the children’s slide. Still, Amelia and Oliver didn’t see it so it didn’t bother them…
